Q1: Is this umbrella water proof

A: This item is just the replacement shade - not a complete umbrella - but no, it isn't water proof.

Q2: I have a 9 ft. market umbrella in need of a replacement canopy. It has 8 ribs 70-72 inches long. The base is wooden and raises with a pulley system. Do you have a canopy that will fit my umbrella?

A: I don't believe our replacement shades would fit your umbrella frame. The replacement shade you noted has an option for a 9 ft. Coral Coast shade and they do have 8 ribs. However, the ribs on the 9-foot poles measure 54 inches from hub to tip which appears to be shorter than your frame would require.

Q3: Can I buy a replacement canopy and put it on another company's umbrella frame? If so where do you measure the umbrella, is it across the width, ie two spines length?

A: If the canopy will accommodate the size of the frame, it can absolutely be used!  In order to get a correct length of the canopy, measure from the tip of the umbrella, up over the finial, to the other end tip of the umbrella. 

Q4: Will the 9ft patio coral coast shade fit a 9ft market umbrella by sunbrella?

A: It's unlikely it would fit - every manufacturer has a slightly different design – but to determine, compare the specs on the pole (item#: RE031) which fits this specific 9-ft. shade to see if it marries up to your existing umbrella pole.

Q5: Do you sell replacement shade for 6 rib patio umbrella?

A: We currently only carry replacement shades for 8 rib patio umbrellas.
